For these fans that are offered by computer stores, they are 12 volt, and you need a computer power supply to use.
Your idea is good but its ugly and messy, however i do like the idea of using a computer fan as many have temputure controlers.

Your 2nd choice other then this i would check out a hydroponics store they sell induct cooling fans that mind you may be noisy they definilty do the job.

I have one of these http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en mounted in my canopy. It's noticeable but I wouldn't consider it loud. Keeps everything nice and cool.

Quickgrow in calgary has some AC fans that can mount in a canopy easily. They are loud but they have a fairly high cfm.

Wrong. i did it without a powersupply and no wires (1 per fan (4) and 1 for power). no hard wiring either, all cables fit appropriate plugs. Very pleased with this fact. (it took alot of return trips to memory express, but it works solid.

ended up quite pleased with the final setup.. especialy since its fully automated.
