A hippo tang will rapidly outgro a 50g and soon the 75g, a suggestion would be 90g but a 150+ is better...my 2 cents

its a phrase meaning "thats my opinion" and being humble by devaluing it to only two cents

A blue hippo tang isn't exactly a good starter fish. You should be more concerned about whether it'll still be alive in a month rather than what you can get for it. Those things are ick magnets if you don't have the proper tank or filtration.

Mine's been quarantined, FW dipped and everything still every once in a while I see white spots in him. Odd thing he is the only one affected.

I agree with the posters. This tang gets to be the size of a pie plate. (Picture it in a 50 gallon) You will need to have a tank with a length of 6 feet to accommodate it swimming habits. Please return it to the LFS>

With this hobby you need patience or you are guaranteed problems.
Wait until your tank cycles, than wait a few weeks than add one fish at a time but not tangs.

I don't know if it's because they stress easily or not? But from my experience, hippos tend to sleep on their sides at the bottem in the live rocks where all the detritus are settled.

thats why im trying to sell the fish because i know it deserves a better home, and also i just got the fish tank today at 1pm
