I can't Speak tell them that they are ground and send them to their shells

The little buggers never stay where they're supposed to:........ in the tank!

is that brown one a saltwater snail???
what kind is it?
other one is a margarita right?

lockrookie 04-12-2010 06:02 AM

to be honest i cant remember the names of them but the brown one is a sand sifter buries itself in sand and when you feed the tank it emerges like a rising zombie in search of food. it actually followed the black one out of the tank but the black was trying to return on its own and the brown one was blocking the path was interesting to watch

if it was following the margarita might want to be careful... might be a predatory snail.
I have 4 tonga nassarius that I know only eat dead...
I've found them chewing on dead fish before too.. but they;ve never touched the living.
and yeah its cool to see them come out as soon as food hits the water.

the black ones whats left of them after the crabs took half of them out seem to wander the glass thats all and the browns are safe mostly buried in the sand untill i add food.
