Did a DSB crash wipe out the dinosaurs?
 
An article in the September issue of Geology suggests that methane trapped beneath the earth's surface, particularly under the oceans, may have leaked when triggered by an earthquake. The resulting cloud would have the power to wipe out the vast majority of species on earth.
