Vancouver International Film Festivale / The Snow Walker
 

Hey all.

Well just thought i would see if any one eles went to the VIFF, Or even to thier Gala Showing of The Snow walker. Just wondering what people thought of the film if any one has seen it. I fianlly got to see it in its entirety and was rather impressed. I found the story really held up, and the camera work was beutiful. But i might be a little baised :lol: .

And IF you have not seen or heard of this film, keep an eye out for it. The Snow Walker It should be making its rounds again very soon.

I've heard it is very good but of course my comments are biased relative to Barry's movies :biggrin:

Have you seen it yet? Last night I went with my girlfriend and my family to see it. The turn out in the theater was low but every one there really wanted to go see it. I think they could have done stronger marketing maybe! There was also something like a making of on TV a week or two ago. That was interesting to watch. I feel sorry for the film crew working on those conditions where I got to sit in front of a computer all day.

No, I haven't seen it yet but I am close to some of the people involved in making it so I have heard lots about it and especially some of the interesting stories about shooting in Churchill. Apparently the bugs were unreal.

Aha. So you are a relative of the main character. So you must know that Kris did the unreal bug scenes. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it yet but I've seen a few commercials or TV bits.

I did not get a chance to meet the actors, but Berry Pepper did a great Job. Defiantly did some great acting, I thought, "owe that got to hurt" when he did the face plant into the ground. How are you related to him, if you do not mind me asking?

Hey Sam I might be going with another group of people if you are interested in coming with us. I think it will be a Friday, but I’m not to sure.

Barry is my brother, actually both my brothers were involved in the film. Actually I didn't realize kris had done the cg effects for the bugs (anything else). The real bugs were apparently quite incredible in their huge swarms.
