Im pretty sure that stick would fetch much more then 10k, cheap reebok.

They are being quite generous still. It's stolen property and they are offering $10K and no questions asked (ie- no charges). The person who currently has them can't really go around advertising to sell it and anyone who bought it would be in possession of stolen property. If they don't step forward with the gear and get caught later then it probably won't go over well.

There's no way that those could be sold. Right now they are worth nothing. If the guys
a Hockey collector then he's got what he wants. I say they turn up eventually.

Well, if you think about it, worldwide there is a lot of stolen art out there that is bought and sold all the time.
Why can't it be the same for this?
Probably sells for a lot more money this way.

I love how they say, "The glove and stick are priceless, but ... we'll give you $10K for their return".

This is exactly the case. On the black market they are worth more than $10K and to a collector, stashing them away in the attic to look at once or twice a year is all they care about. Maybe the collector will try to sell them, maybe he will keep them. They will turn up but who knows if that will be in weeks or years, and how many hands will change.

Is this my first post?

I find it highly unlikely the person who took these is some blackmarket, sport memorabilia mastermind. He was likely just a fan sitting there and thought he could take them- either for himself, a friend, family or to make a quick buck. My guess is just for himself though (Be huge bragging rights to tell family/friends that you have Crosbys Glove and Stick that won Olympic gold 2010). Police will have tons of leads on this I think and it won't take them long to find who took them off the ice and where they ended up. Gotta remember how many cameras were pointed at the ice during this time (news, security, etc...) for them to look over!

And the priceless term is way over exaggerated. You will not have people paying millions of dollars for this stick and glove. I still think $10K is generous and no charges laid.

There gona give me 10K and no charges... Hmm I guess I could live without the stick..

poor Crosby

10K would buy me a bigger tank! Wish I had them!
Pretty sure they would not let me keep a reef in prison!?!
Keith.
