I really like guy edition step 4 (why didn't I think of that one, pay 80% when alone and the other 20% when with the SO?! Brilliant!!)

Yeah I've done that several times. Although I got busted coming into the house with "two boxes" from harbour air on friday (corals). Nothing was said though, I'm sure its archived for future reference

 That was great, however #4 of the guy edition works much better then beer and TV in my case.

Do like I did go to pet stores and talk about the fish alot and how you miss haveing a tank then go to any and all garage sales that have a tank sitting in the drivway and wate till you see a large enough one that you want. By the way she had been bugging me to buy everyone of the tanks along the way. So we by the larger one and it sits on the back deck for till she insists on bringing it in then she gets sneeky drags it in while you are out of town working. now it has to get setup or she will be realy upset. since then she has been looking for more tanks and thingsand every time I say no to one I get the 20 questions. So now we sit with 3 tanks that I am trying to sell 2 tanks up and running very nice tanks I may add. I also have some miss stuff That I am going to get ride of.

LOL that would NEVER work in my case. Good strategy though

It works for me My wife is always telling me to buy this or that for the tank I culd buy almost any thing and she will love it then complain about it latter. I worned her this hobby is exspencive before I bought anything else but the tank and I reiterated it the exspencive part when she insisted I set up the tank.
