baby bangaiis
This is his third batch of babies. The first time I found 3 of them after he released them in the main tank. All three did really well and are about dime size. The second batch he must have swallowed. The third time I was able to net him out of the display and have had him in the sump for a couple of weeks. Three days ago I found 2 little ones on the bottom of the tank that still had alot of egg. They did ok and in 3 days the yolk was absorbed.
So yesterday I netted the male and as I had hoped he spit the rest. I would guess there are about a dozen. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...IMG_0237-1.jpg |

Very cool - CONGRATS!!!
what are you doing to keep them alive? what are you feeding? where are they living? Please do share  |
make sure you feed newly hatched bbs AND bbs that have consumed phyto (which usually means allowing them to live 24 hours after hatching and feeding them with phyto and THEN feeding them to your baby bangaiis).
Phyto provides a fatty acid that is required to eliminate sudden fright syndrome that is very common and fatal to baby bangaiis that are fed solely newly hatched bbs. Good luck..... enjoy..... they are tons of work. |
Very cool
