Dosing magnesium with two part solution
 

In the 2 part dosing instructions, magnesium is said to be added at the end of the one gallon Calcium and Alk solution. Why not at the same time? I plan on using automated dosing pumps to dose the tank, what dosing schedule do you suggest for the magnesium?

My Mg doses twice a day.

I have mine set to dose calcium for a few hours in the morning, alk for a few hours in the afternoon and magnesium for a few hours in the evening. I never really "got" that whole magnesium addition thing that RHF was talking about. I just dose it all the time.

Good so I am not the only one who has trouble understanding that. Thanks for sharing that dosing info, it does shed some light on the issue.
