To live or not to live... for this critter
 
I managed to net this thing after it went for a surf down the over flow today.
What the heck is it?

It's about an inch long and moves rather fast.
Should I flush it, or sump it?

a worm in a *very* good mood. that's an epitoke: a reproductive stage of some annelid worms that swims up into the water column to release gametes into the currents. it's harmless... unless you have true carribean fireworms (corallivores) in your tank, but you'd probably know if you did by now.

Kinda looks like one of them face-sucker guys from Aliens... There's something to think about whenever you reach in the tank...
