Southdown and aragonite locally

Where is a good place locally that would have Southdown? Having troubles finding some.

You aren't going to find any. It isn't available here. Closest place might be southern Ontario. Eastern US for sure.

What about aragonite sand? If not, what do you suggest? Guess I could buy it at JLs but it's expenive.

J&L isn't too bad, over here it's $50+ per bag. Seacare sells it for $25/bag, I believe. J&L charges $30. Compared to southdown it's a lot, but it's what we have available. And really, it's one of the cheaper things you'll need

Aragonite

What about aragonite sand? I see in the Yellow Pages their are a few landscaping companies avertising it.

What's the difference with Southdown? Is it just a brand of aragonite, or is it a type of aragonite? And why is it so popular compared to other sand?

Thanks in advance!
