Grocery store clams
 

Would it be possible to keep clams from the live seafood counter at the grocery store in our tanks?

I envision one churning up the sand rather efficiently in hard to reach areas.

Any thoughts?

Not for long. Well, some might live but most won't, our tanks are far too warm for them.

I tried keeping some in an unheated refugium once, as a food source for my CBB, ... it didn't work out too well. Think the longest one held out around 3-4 days.
