NOW FOR SALE!! (Need Crab ID)

I have never seen a crab like this before. Any ideas as to what kind it is and if its reef safe?

Thanks!

No idea. Pretty cool looking though!

I have around 6 of them that came in my rock. They refuse to die of old age and they're impossible for me to catch without tearing down the whole reef.

I'd sump him if I were you. I don't really have any conclusive proof they've done harm but .. the general rule of thumb is, if it has claws, it's not really trustworthy.

don't know about the ID but i would agree about throwing it in the sump, its not a hermit or pom pom, anything else i wouldn't trust

Thanks for the ID. He is now in the sump - somewhere :) !

Cool. He should be something to behold if he makes it to adulthood in your sump.
