Golf...
 

Anyone/everyone here golf? I am planning to make it my "big expenditure project" of 2004. I am looking at all those cheap sets you can buy from places like Sport Chek and so on. I'd like to get into it for $500 or less, not counting the cost of actual games... I have a ride-on with height-adjustable blade, thinking I'll make myself a putting range and so on.

Crud....don't distract Barry okay..... :rolleyes: I already bought him those ping things.

BTW, he has his old set of clubs for sale. :biggrin:

Yup, I'm a hockey guy myself but golf is eh. okay. You don't need all the clubs to start off with. You could easily play a par 3 with only a club or two and a putter. That's probably good enough to start off practicing. I found I play like adam sandler in the movie happy gilmore so im sticking with hockey. I threw my 7 iron 80yrds at the driving range last year so that was the last time I attempted golf for life.

Look in the buy and sell for a used set.

I would not recommend buying from sportchek or any other non golf only retailer.

you could get a set of taylor made's. my Brother just got there new set to the tune of 4G's, I think my clubs are about 600.00 or so but I got them for a present so I am not sure.
