A few new 90 gallon reef pics
Here's a few quick pics I snapped of the reef the other day. Tank is 90 gallons with 8-bulb 48" HO T5 fixture. Sumpless, and has been setup for
about 3 years. ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...00/90_09_4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...00/90_09_5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ar00/90_09.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...00/90_09_6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...00/90_09_3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...00/90_09_2.jpg :) -Diana |
I'm absolutely in AWE of the colors and neat little areas there are to look at in your tank! If my wife saw this she'd forbid me to have any SPS.
Any chance you can shoot some video? I imagine there must be a lot of movement in there. |
now thats a gorgous tank. amazing

Beautiful tank Diana
What is the fish in the left hand corner above the hammer coral in the first picture? |
Thanks for the comments everyone! this tank has tons of movement and colors. i have finally run out of space too, i can't really add anything without it getting stung! I will try and get a video, our little digi cam shoots pretty pathetic video.
Leah, the fish is a spotted Rabbitfish. I recently switched to Reefer's Best salt and the growth explosion of the corals has been insane, especially the hammers and frogspawn. they've gone crazy! i highly recommend it to everyone. :) -Diana |
Great looking tank :thumb:. Is it skimmerless too?

Looks great Diana! (The tank too. :p)
Quick question for ya - how long have you had the bipinnate plume? I'm curious because it has the distinctive "bipinnate" shape. I have what I thought was one, but after a year or so it has completely lost the feathering look to it, and become nearly indistinguishable from my purple plume's growth habit. I was wondering if I've mis-ID'd it or if growth is influenced by flow patterns and the flow patterns in tank don't match the patterns in the ocean. (I know there is something to the latter, since I also have a Gorgonia ventilana that is becoming rather 3-dimensional over time as well.) |
