ZEOvit Question
I have started to look into introducing the ZEOvit system into my reef. I have a couple of things that i am not 100% sure on and was hoping someone could help.
Does ZEOvit replace my bio-filtration? Is skimming required or required at the same intensity? Thank you in advance for any answers. |
as far as I can figure zeo feeds your bio filter to make it work better
and you absolutly need to skim |
Yup Zeovit helps feed and increase your biological filtration so it works better and harder.
Definatly need to skim. |
with the base 4, (start, bak, food, and C.V) these all work to reduce your nutrients to near zero.
I have tried running just the zeo system with no live rock, and only a small sandbed. it worked fine, but with the addition of live rock, the system was much easier to care for. skimming is a must |
cant some of the 4 cause algae blooms?
|
yes, all of the zeo products can cause out breaks. but this is usually when overdosed. less is more with the zeo system.

I just got my Zeofilter package today from J&L
so it will be interesting to see how well it does ! dont know why most zeo additives all smell like vinegar ! hmmm http://users.nexopia.com/uploads/2371/2371070/Zeo.jpg |
