Miscellaneous shots from my 115g cube

Tank is a 30x30x30. Just playing around tonight, got some shots of my new C. ulietensis butterflies (bye-bye majanos!!! - I hope, anyhow..)

I've had this photosynthetic gorg for YEARS. It really doesn't want to grow very quickly. .. The flash went off on this one, I fixed it up a bit post-processing, but the colours are still a little harsh on the rocks. The purple is about right, though.

My female Bellus.. too bad she turned at just the right moment. I was going to try again but the lights turned off on me. Oh well, another day.

The male Bellus ... love those streamers.

And here's my attempt at cinematography .. one day I might learn how to overlay some sappy song for a soundtrack for these videos I post.

Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking.

How about a pic of your majanos before they are all gone.
Thanks

LOL...

Sweet stuff Tony ! Love those B-Flys.

Looks great. I thought nothing ate majanos, let me know if the butterflies work. I have a friend who has some in his tank.

Very nice Tony!

What camera did you use?

Look'n good! :thumb:

Cool Gorg! Do you have an ID on it?

Love both the butterflies and the angels man. Got a pretty sharp shot of the eel too!

Thanks!! I was hoping to catch his eyes in focus but .. he moved. The camera I'm using has a decent macro but the focal range is razor thin in the super-macro mode. Camera is an Olympus C5000, it's actually sort of a hand-me-down from my wife, I bought her a newer Olympus for Christmas last year... I have a DSLR but the annoying thing is the cards it uses, don't fit in the laptop's card reader so I have to *find a USB cable to download pictures* (how quaint!). So I end up using this more often than not.

Myka, I'm not really certain. It's a little like a ribbon gorg but also different.. I actually at one point earmarked a frag of this one for you but you .. kinda .. never came back to Calgary since we last talked about gorgs. :p

Fishoholic - well, I'm hoping they'll take to the majano's. The raccoon that I lost in that tank crash last month HAD been eating them. Only thing he was also started eating pieces of the green brain. We'll have to see how these guys do, from what I've read, things like zoanthids and palys may be on the menu but if they eat majano's that will be a small price to pay to rid my rock of those things. I have them everywhere !! I regret that I took a bit of a "live and let live" approach with these when I first noticed them.

Tong I love the cube. The clams are looking sweet too. Nice selection of fish there man..

So, quick update, 5 days in with the new butterflies, and easily two thirds of the majanos that I knew of are gone. Still a couple in harder to reach areas but, hey, day 5!! Wow.

Aiptasia on the other hand are so far unaffected by the looks of things.
