remove a mushroom?
whats the easist way to take a mushroom off a rock to relocate it.. the big flat fuzzy kind?
hahaha thanks |
Cut the base near the rock, then use an elastic band to secure it to its new home.
It will attach in a week or so and you can take the elastic off. Also as a bonus the old base you cut it from will grow a new shroom |

Any way to make it not grow a new shroom... hahaha its in a bad place

None that your gonna like. How attached are you to that rock? lol.
|
im pretty attatched... this is a sad tale, i guess its not too bad..
|
One thing you could try is once you've cut it off at the base and relocated it...then you could boild some RODI water and using a turkey baster, blast the spot multiple times with boiling water which might kill the original stem.
No guarantees, but it will take some time to re-grow anyways. Other people here may have suggestions too. |
i just scraped the rock like mad with a blade after and tryed to remove everything, and a replacement coral is there now.. hopefully it will stay away.
thanks for the help |
I would re-consider doing more...the replacement coral will probably get attacked by the reforming mushroom. In order to get rid of them, you basically need to sterilize.
|
try puting flow sideways on it, then use plastic spoon to detach its foot, pretty much like anemone work. to get rid of it or any mushroom, squirt some vinegar right in its mouth. not too many at once and not too often, throws ph off.
