little red worms in my sand
Hey guys, super noob strikes again!
did some evening watching of my tank tonight (cycling with some seed sand and LR) and saw a bunch of little red worms in my sand up against the glass. maybe about an inch long and very thin... what are they? good? bad? did i get some "hitch hikers" as everyone calls them? They're super quick too.. cast a shadow with my flashlight and one scurried away in a real hurry.... trying to learn as much as possible.... |
Sounds like bristleworms. For the most part they are good, they feed on leftover food/detritus. Don't touch them with your bare hand if you can help it.

sounds like spaghetti, I get balls of them every now and then, probably finding waste that has collected somewhere. |
