RO unit NEEDS HELP

Bought an Aquasafe unit while back, had always had back yield 1-2 gpd. Rated for 100gph. Any suggestions.

hooked up correctly, pre-filters need changing (what's the flow like after them), membrane shot, AVOS working, check valve okay, flush valve correct position? Check section by section.

Definitely sounds like something is hooked up incorrectly.

On an unrelated note: I don't know if that schematic is of the unit in question but if it is keep in mind that the post-carbon will add TDS back into the water after it's been brought down to 0 by the DI.

RO membrane could be bad. Recent ones from aquasafe have had faulty RO membranes. I've installed two bad ones this year, in both cases the system would only produce a minute amount of water each day, after checking everything I replaced the membrane and it fixed the problem.

is this a typo or is it realy rated for 100gph? that would be 2400gpd

and is the yield 1-2 gpd or gph?

ok so asuming that it is a 100gpd unit and you are getting 1-2gph would mean your getting about 25 to 50 gpd.

first thing, what is your water PSI and temp? with out knowing these we can only make guesses.

I assumed he meant 1-2 gpd, with 100gpd membrane, 50 gpd wouldn't be that bad and wouldn't indicate a problem, except that the water pressure is a little low.

sorry, its a typo. 1-2 gpd on a good day. Water is from ground. Now that aquasafe is out of business, does anyone know were i can get more membrane?

AquaSafe is now back in business with a new web site ordering here. Also, you may order membrane replacement from bulk reef supplies.

Cheers!

I think he meant ASOV (Automatic Shut Off Valve)... Shuts unit off automatically when resevoir is full or back pressure is high enough.
