Cool Pics Alan!

Are sailfin blennies also called Algae blennies?
Any Idea?

Alan, you are very good with that camera. The carpet looks great.

There is also some type of black blenny called a sailfin. It looks something like a bicolour. AI had one a little while back.

Great Shots!! Love the Carpet

Hi Allen;

great shots,

may I ask what camera you have been using and if you have used any special settings when you shoot your fish?

Thanks

Appreciate all the kind comments - :biggrin: . Being able to share some of what's going on in there is a very cool thing. (And making the careful and measured decision to get that S. haddoni from Delphinus is a high point for sure.) :cool:

Trevor - the camera is a Kodak DC280 (2.0 MP) so nothing special, but I use a 7x and/or 10x diopter for closeups. Typically set for auto-white balance (or fluorescent), auto-ISO. No flash, and exposure set to -.5 to avoid washout. No flash, (the camera flash is kind of lame) and I rest the camera right against the glass for the macro shots. It's been real fun learning to make decent shots with what I thought was a piece of junk. :eek:

Cheers,
