45 G Bedroom tank ..... Pics April 28
Well since i moved i have moved my fw fish into a 75 and used the 45 as a reef tank. it is sumpless and has a koralia 3 and 2 for flow and a AC HOB 70 refuge. i am using an eshopps 75 HOB skimmer thats doing great and 2 2x54 W glow units for lighting. corallife 2x9W CF light for fuge. going thru a mini cycle right now so i will add pics later.
Live stock right now is 2 true perks, 1 potters angel, 3 Hawaiian Flame Wrasse |
Any suggestions on if there is room for another fish or 2? suggestions? mostlikely going with a 2 spot candy hogfish.
|
Well due and ich boutbreak i have torn down this tank and wil be restarting it. the only fish i have to go back in are my true perks. any ideas on other fish? thinking a pygmy angel of some type. and not sure from there
ANY SUGGESTIONS??? |
I would suggest to go with a candy hogfish, those are nice and yellow, perhaps one of the following:
Yellow stripped cardinal fish. black cardinal 3 stripped damsel orchid dottyback - which is a nice bright purple Clown fairy wrasse berlett's or dispair anthias I guess it all depends on your personal preference and if you will set up as a reef or FOWLR. |
This will be a reef tank but still unsure about inverts tho.

check this out, stocking list for fish up to 30g so of course there are more than this that you could add in your larger tank but its a fairly decent list, hopefully it can give you some ideas

ooh and for inverts maybe consider a pom pom crab? i know people lose them in bigger tanks since they are shy but i have 1 in my 55g and i see him every couple of days hiding in the rocks and man is he ever COOL
|
I already have the nano list bookmarked, thanks tho. and what i am really looking for is a fish that will not outgrow the tank but is still fairly large. thus the list doesnt work.
i already have a tank devoted to pompoms and sexy shrimp. with a goby or 2. well when they stay in the tank long enough to count. my former 10g contest tank is still kicking around. currently still 2 pompoms (pair) 3 sexy shrimp down to 1 purple fire fish, and 1 pink lined wrasse. http://www.bluezooaquatics.com/produ...d=290&pid=2293 |
Possible additions ?

Just looking for stocking options and some veto power on what others feel should not be in this tank. tank will be set up in the nest week then cycle to follow. there is lots of time i am just curious as to what others like and if i have missed something please give me a suggestion.
