Buying Copepods
Does anybody know a vendor in Canada that sells live copepod cultures? Not the Tigger pods that are sold for food but some that might better thrive and reproduce in our tanks? I have a healthy population of isopods in my 75 gallon but I don't see many copepods in there. Was hoping to kick start a better population of them. I can buy some from the US but shipping is pricey so I was hoping to find them on our side of the border.

+1, would love to know this too.

From Paul's in Surrey, behind Costco, I bought some copepods, Brand name vividreef, a couple of years ago. There were different kinds in there. Not sure if anything survived, cause they were very small.
Ron99 I have some shrimp looking things that hide in the rocks and scurry about. If you want to trade for some of your isopods, come on over. or just come over anyway, I have lots. They grow to about 1/4 inch. My wrasse used to eat them, unfortunately, he went surfing. |

Paul's doesn't carry them anymore. Looks like the only local ones are the Tigger Pods.
I'll trade some with you if we catch them. I don't know how easy it will be to catch the isopods. I can probably get a few from my filter sock  Quote:
