cleaning sump
 

just wondering how often everyone cleans their sump. its been 9 months for me and debating about doing it with my water change tomorrow

lol so no one cleans their sump on a regular schedual?

I clean mine once a month. I have my sump in the basement and my tank on the main floor. It's easier for me to do my water change from the sump and I just scrub it with a rag and use a pump to get the water out. What little water and crap that is left behind I suck up with a wet/dry shop vac that has only ever been used for that purpose.

Over a year on my 45g and havnt cleaned the sump yet. it's small, and a PITA to get to. pitfal's of a corner tank
