not shure what this is but it came in my LR that i just got for my q tank
maby some type of nem , . its about the size of a toonie

tagging along on this one, i got a nem like that in my live rock about 2 years ago and have tried figuring it out since then but cant get a pic where it is, its kinda cool looking and doesnt bother anyone else in the tank anyway

I had a guy like that, I think it was called a corn anemone. He had a 3" dia. face when he was fully expanded.
As far as I know they are bad news, they eat anything and everything. Ask Kevin from Red Coral, he'll tell ya a good story :lol:.

well, whatever hes called I had a decent sized guy and ended up giving him to red coral.

If you poke it, does it suck itself in really fast? If so, then it is probably an Actinodendron (glomeratum maybe?) anemone. They are considered a pest to most people. They will eat small fish, and pack a powerful sting both to corals, and may also sting you quite badly (especially when larger)!

They tend to reproduce rather quickly, so decide if you want them in there. Mine have never eaten any fish, but they're nothing special.
