I've recently started using this de-icing salt that is non pharmaceutical grade magnesium chloride hexahydrate http://www.envirotechservices.com/do...soluteZero.pdf You could try contacting them and ask if they know of any retailers that carry this product in your area. http://www.envirotechservices.com/

+100 for LittleSilverMax :D

If you are not wanting to pay shipping, you can try Xenex Lab at 1-800-663-1002 in Coquitlam or google them.

Thanks for the replies guys.... I'll do some more reseach into it, I checked the price at Xenex Lab and it is about 37.00 for 500 grams food grade, i can get this Magnesion P 600g made by brightwell for 16.00 appox. there is quite a diffence in price. Was looking for a cheaper diy way...keep looking but for now maybe give the Magnesion P 600g a try until winter comes and i can get the de-icer. Can't seem to find it locally now as for the weather, time of year.
Thanks guys |
I like to only use food grade products in my system.
For Magnesium you can use Epsom Salts available at any pharmacy. Tom R |
There is some merit to your approach.
Epsom salts a lone can definitely result in a rise of sulfate. |
I ordered 10 lbs calcium and 10 lbs of magnesium for chemaster(littlesilvermax) and with shipping to vancouver island it cas me a little less than $80. Averaged out to be about $4 lb(454g). Even with shipping it was an awesome deal.
