Awesome Skimmer Package for sale!

Great setup for someone looking for a very good skimmer.

Designed and build by Brent Barr of Barr Aquatics the quality of this skimmer is second to none. Paired with the Gen-X PCX55HP pump this baby runs through roughly 1000gph and pulls 40+ SCFH of Air through the beckett.

It has seen a few years of use but it's been well looked after and cleaned regularly and functions as it did when it was new.

Twist lock sections for hassle free maintenance. (very few thumbscrews on system, none on collection cup)

- Waste collector with Automatic shutoff.
- Cast (not extruded) Acrylic
- Air flow meter
- 1.5" Gate valve on outflow
- Precision John Guest ball valve for easy air control
- Ozone and CO2 injection ports

More info can be found here: http://www.barraquatic.com/standard_skimmers.php

Price as new: $792US + S/H

Asking Price: $600 CDN

I can ship this anywhere in Canada, however Western Canada would be nicer. I could possibly get it delivered to Edmonton or Northwest Alberta without Shipping.

Serious Inquires only, if any questions just ask.

I forgot to mention that I'm willing to entertain offers on this package. I'm also willing to work with someone on shipping if they are seriously interested in buying.

How noisy was it? It would have to be quiet enough to be out in my living room, as I hve no in sump space

Psyire 08-08-2009 01:44 AM

It has a noise muffler on the air intake. You can see it in the above picture beside the beckett housing. The pump isn't overly noisey but it is fan cooled so it does make some noise. It would be best if you could enclose it somehow, then you'd hardly hear it, but I'm not sure I would have it running out in the open in my living room. Let alone any noise, it wouldn't look too good once it's pulling the gunk out of your tank.
