RO/DI water connection question
I want to order a 4 stage RO/DI unit but i live in a condo and have no tap to connect it to and the faucets on all our sinks are the fancy type without a screw on screen etc. Has anybody had to deal with this and how did you solve it? Can you use a pump to draw water into the unit from a bucket?? HELP!! I need to lower my phosphates and the RO water i have been buying is not the best.

Under your sink you should have some kind of shut off valve for hot and cold so your faucet can be changed without shutting off the building water. After the cold valve you need to install some kind of tee to feed the RO unit. Or you can install a needle pinch valve on a cooper line if you have one exposed, these are usually included with RO units but the tee is the better way to go.

Do you have a washing machine?
I used to have mine hooked up to a tee with a valve from the washer. |
thanks for all the posts! Jeff @ JL Aquatics sold me an adaptor and i can get another adaptor from HD that will adaprt that to my sink. It will look like a rub Goldberg contraption, but at least it will work!
