Beauty even in Death
 
Just a shadow of thier former beauty but somehow thier skeletons are somewhat pretty in a odd sort of way. L to R Pink Birdsnest, Brown Birdsnest, Baby Blue Mille, Green with Blue tip Stag)

People NEVER post pics of dead corals especially after a total loss. Takes courage I imagine! Thanks for showing us...I for one haven't seen pics like these too often. They still look beautiful.

^I have a feeling that if I ever get into SPS I'll likely have a small collection of dead coral skeletons gracing my mantle. :lol:

I started collecting a few... but then I changed my mind and turned them into calcium reactor media.

It is sad, but yes they are still beautiful! I just bought a couple dead pieces to get my GSP to grow on. I think it will look cool.

I posted these about 4 years ago after I lost my entire tank due to a defective heater. your looking at two 30 gallon buckets pretty much full of coral.. the second bucket had a bunch more added after the pic. just for referance the milli skeliton in the second pic is about 19" accross. was one of my prized corals.. I also had a green cap that was about the same size which is not in the pic..
