Old mHs
 

What do people do with their old MHs? Is there any use for them once the spectrum has shifted? Could they be used on a planted tank or something?

I try to give them away to people interested in seeing how the bulb would look over their own tank before they make a purchase.

I use them in my sump.

They work well, no real difference in coral color.

Some are 3 years old and counting. Makes me wonder why people only use their bulbs for 10-14 months.:question:

Always hang on to them :) Well within reason - I keep a couple of each bulb kicking around as a just in case...

You never know when you'll have a blow out... Always at the worst possible moment & with none in town available at the time.
