I have a thing for spotlit tanks... I should note that these are Japanese tanks, they seem to have a thing for spotlights...

Yes there are some very impressive tanks for sure. I was however quite disappointed in this one though. It has so much potential but the coral scape looks like a fruit stand and unnatural the way it's divided into tables and stags. The reason I am even bothering to say anything is that this would have likely been my favorite. Just visualize how good this would look if they were mixed in together giving a much more natural feel to it. Beautiful corals though!!

^+1... I hate the 'coral garden' look. I prefer a more natural mix of corals anyhow...

I like it like that not natural but very planned and neat. Just a different look.

well they said that the reason they did that is to make the lighting more natural for deep water corals (right side) vs high light corals (left side)...

anyways i like how it looks myself and its very thought out.

Heck I'd love to have a tank with just tables. I loooove tables

Some gorgeous colors for sure and they really know how to highlight them with the proper spotlights

I came off sounding really negative... I do like this tank, it's obviously well planned (and well taken care of!). Just not my thing, really. I wish I could find some spotlights though! I'd like a really focused beam to light just an island of rock in the center of a tank... I really need to quit looking at pictures of Japanese tanks.
