Blank CD Bulk Buy - Calgary/Edmonton

I am considering buying a large quantity of CD-R's from a source in the United States. Previously I've been buying from Vancouver and Calgary, but I'm finding better deals in the USA. If you are interested in getting anywhere between 100 and 2000, let me know before the 20th of this month, when I will be ordering. You are probably looking at between $0.10 and $0.25 each by the time shipping and duty come into play. This is still cheaper than the ~$0.30 I've paid in the past when you count in GST.

Hey Quinn.
If they are .10 each or so I would get 100 to 200.

cheers

Quinn, put me down for 100. 200 if they work out to around $0.15 each. We can hook up in the next Edmonton meeting.

Hey Quinn. I have a friend that will take 100 also if they are .10 to .20 cent's each.

cheers

We are looking at $0.15/each at this point in time. I am now considering upping my volume to 3000 or even 4000 units as I think I can get rid of them. However because I am not sure if they are as high quality as what I generally use, I'm going to go with 2000 for now. Trevor, I would certainly be interested in hearing about what you're able to come up with. I will post an update once I place the order.

okay guys, I have checked with my suppliers and I can get you spindels of 100 for $35 (or .35 for each disc) I know that is not as good as what you are getting ( I am guessing from the US) but you will not have to worry about any kind of shipping and well bluntly put they are not crap.

these are 80 min cd-r's rated for 24x

let me know if you are intested.

Trevor, I am going to go ahead with the American order, as I know that if they don't work out, I can sell them off to people who won't be worried about quality. I am concerned they won't be up to par because some of what I am burning is fairly sensitive and needs to be around for about four more years (I've had CDs die after one or two). If these ones are no good, at that point we can reevaluate the available options.

Quinn 08-08-2003 03:51 AM

Well after all this time, the Americans got back to me the other day to say, suprise, the price we gave you was only for shipping. So I cancelled the order. Sorry to get everyones hopes up. I'm going to place a more modest order to my regular Vancouver source. If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll get you a price. It's going to be close to $30 for 100 though.
