Cowrie snail not moving

I have a cowrie snail that hasn't moved in two nights. I thought maybe she had gotten herself jammed against a rock, then talked myself out of that because she shouldn't have gone anywhere she couldn't get out of right? Is it likely she's dead?

I have a few snails that go for days without moving as well. Not sure what that is all about. They certainly aren't doing their job of cleaning my algae!!

All right, so long as it's normal. I just didn't want her rotting in there if she was dead.

You could always try flipping the shell over to check...

So I had a look after it got dark, and he's definitely alive! Still can't find the second one that's supposedly in the tank though.

I have ring cowries that will just sit on their eggs in the same spot for days.

check up on it at night/twilight. I thought my abalone was doing the same thing (as in nothing), but turns out it actually motors around the tank at twilight/night and returns to the exact same spot every night (been doing this for the 2 weeks or so that Ive had it)

So, now the shell is flipped over (I didn't do it) and it appears to be empty. Is this another alien abduction?? Where could she have gone?
