Review of Tunze Master Electric 1073.090?

Anyone have any experience with this pump? http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...ct~TZ1731.html

Looking for a high capacity, low noise submersible pump that isn't as loud as a Mag or Quietone and not as expensive as a Red Dragon. Any other suggestions for pumps? Looking for ~2000gph. May headpressure would be probably 5' to 6'.

Thanks!

No experience with that particular tunze pump, but I don't need to tell you about the reputation and quality of their powerheads and products in general.

If you must have a submersible pump have you considered Laguna pond pumps? They're made by Askoll which is what Red Dragons all start out their lives as.

Hmm, interesting. I always thought that Laguna was Hagen. Thanks for the tip!

If you read thier description it says that saltwater use is EXTERNAL only. I have a quietone in my sump and cant really hear it at all.

Hmmm, interesting. I'll send the tunze rep on Reef Central a quick pm to confirm.
