Still available...would like to get rid of him today if possible

My peppermint keep my rocks aptasia free for 9 months. Not a sign of aptasia that whole entire time, however in that ninth month of living in my tank he died. About a month, month and a half later the aptasia was back with a vengeance. No new rock had been added and the rock that was in there had been aptasia free for 9 months, unfortunately after the peppermint died the aptasia came back. IME as long as there is something in the tank to eat the aptasia there will be no signs of it in your tank. As soon as there isn't something to eat the aptasia it will come back.
It's totally your decision, I just thought I'd share my experiences in order to save you from doing something you might regret. BTW the 1st peppermint shrimp was the only peppermint shrimp I owned that ever ate aptasia. I bought 13 peppermint shrimp in the years that followed the 1st ones death and not one of the 13 ever ate aptasia. Ended up buying a CBB to get rid of the aptasia.
