Feedback on CaribSea Special Reef Grade Sand

http://www.caribsea.com/pages/buy_it...lreefsand.html

Looking for a better option than bare bottom (ugly) or sugar sand (messy) in a high flow SPS tank. How does this stuff look aethetically? Does it stay in place better than sugar sand?
Please share your experiences or what you have heard. Thanks,
TW

I have always had it in our tank. Looks great and definetly stays put more than the sugar sand and i have an obscene amount of turnover in my tank.:)

Obscene amount of turnover... that is what I am going for.

Initial plans are for 2 Tunze 6080s. In a standard 120G (48X18WX24H) in you experience will the Reef Grade Sand stay put if I am planning on using 2XTunze 6080 pointed at each other across the 48" length of the tank. Each Tunze produces 2500 GPH......
Or will I still get bare glass batches on the bottom of my tank as I did with sugar sand? What do you think?

I use it and have no complaints with it.

No, it doesn't stay in place any better. It's what I was using. I have a garbage pail full of it if you want it, it needs a good rinse. Otherwise, it's fill for the backyard :)

If you are pointing them at each other i don't think it matters what you use you are still going to get bare spots. Mine are pointing at different areas of the tank and i don't have any bare spots per say. I have spots that the sand is a little thinner but not so you can see the bottom and it hasn't moved since the day i added everything in it...

You also have a deeper tank than I, so it might work better...

Brad if you don't want it, just tell me when to come over and pick it up. That would be awesome. Thanks
