i think this is in the right forum.
is there someone here that is or knows about i think software technician.
i am looking for somebody that could tell me or do it for a price,a digital timed amperage drive potentiometer.
the reason for this is i am placing it on my LED array to produce dawn dusk for my reef.i will supply you with all information needed.
tried looking for such thing as plug and play NO luck.

Over how long a duration do you want the pot to move? ie from off to full on.

I'm interested in this too.

i want within 1 hour morning and the samefor the evening.
the blue LED wil lcome on 1st at 350ma for half hour then goes up to 700ma with whites at 350ma then by the time the hour is up the blue will be at 700ma and whites 1000ma.
vise versa for the evening.

or maybe better have it running on real times setting.

you could likely do it mechanically with the hour hand of a clock that move the pots very slowly from off to on and then in reverse, it would be a fun DIY.

i suppose you could it wouldnt be fun it wouldnt be digital.
i want it to be as compact as possible

Would it work to use a transistor, With say a R/C circuit on the gate? use a Pot to vary the charge time of the capacitor. And the charge voltage of the cap determines the gate signal of the Transistor? maybe a Mosfet instead of transistor? It's been to long since I fooled with electronics. Mostly 600-4160V now I play with

Edit, I found a site with a WHACKLOAD of different schematics

It sounds like you should go directly to a PLC,real time. you have a number of things that you want to automate, why not take the plunge.

I am going PLC eventualy on one of my tanks. I have a couple Siemens Logo's here, and a AB SLC5 I want to use the SLC, but finding software that I can use, cost effectively, is proving harder. I use RSLogix all the time at work, but work is 1600Miles away from home. Slight changes and tweaks would be difficult
