Very nice, I hope to have one someday.

Nice clam!

I don't think you have strong enough lighting to keep a Crocea though, they are one of the most light demanding species along with Maxias. I just bought a Squamosa as both Squamies and Derasa have lower light requirements, and have better chances of doing well under T5s.

well, time will see. I have been tossing the MH idea around. If it means anything, within 30 seconds of me placing him in the tank, he opened up. Much faster than any other corals I have added

I had a crocea in old tank with just pc light and it was doing good. I had thought that the color was real nice. I think I had it in there for a year or more. It has sinced moved into a bigger tank with 250 hqi and i've noticed that the colors are slowly starting to change. Either light works for me. I didn't think it made a difference. We'll see how much the colors change. My view might really change.

Im with MYKA on this one, how many bulbs do you have on there 4 I had a 8 bulb fixture on my tank and i had to have my maxima and crocea about 6-8" from the top of the water or mine lost its color and started to not open up 100%. Of course the clam will open right up as soon as you get it into the tank. its looking for lights and filtering the water.

I would be concerned about the long nose butterfly in your tank. sexy fish and all but I hope he doesnt take to you clam.. good luck on that..
