Hairytank's 46 bow

Well, I finally decided to produce a Journal of my 46 galon bowfront.
In fact this journal will take you back in time...showing all..the good the bad and very ugly..

August 2007- Fluval 404 and 303 canister filters...hmmm not a good idea, without constant cleaning...this tank had been running since 2000 in one form or another as a marine fish and live rock only tank.

October 2007- Addition of the Superskimmer (Aka: Stupid skimmer)
http://i364.photobucket.com/albums/o...AC/Oct2007.jpg

There are some missing pictures from this time period.. some artists have blue periods, but I had a hairy period...this was it. Purchased dead liverock and it bloomed into some of the most brilliant green hair algae I have ever seen..hence my user name..

August 2008- Addition of a sump and Tek 4x39 T5 fixture and Aquamedic T1000 protein skimmer.

Looks great Aaron! Was always curious to see what your tank looked like!

Hairytank 03-20-2009 03:42 AM

Yes, it is amazing, but I always have to ask why does that growth have to be sooo painful and darn expesive...haha

I must say, I owe alot to Kevin and Doug of Red Coral. They have helped me get on the right track.
