Purchasing Aquariums on Van Isl
I have been reading a lot about where to buy aquariums on this message board and it seems like a lot of people are getting tanks shipped to them. My question is... Isn't Seastar located in Victoria? can you go directly to Seastar or do you have to go through a LFS to purchase a tank. In Nanaimo there are 2 places that sell Seastar aquariums but they are rather expensive. Is there somewhere else that is better?
PS. I am looking for a tank that is 60" long pref. 112gal (60L x18W x24H) if anybody has got one for sale   |
a few experiances have showen that it is cheeper to have a tank shipped in from IA than to buy it localy from SeaStar. I bought my last tank from sea star and I had a few issues withb it but I didn;t notice till it was to late to prove it was a fault on there end.

Is IA cheaper than J&L??

Gord, you're a week late!! I just sold a tank that size with a nice stand and canopy!!
BTW, J&L gets their tanks from Seastar. And no, you can't go directly thru seastar. |
Damn   I knew I should have been watching the message board for "aquariums for sale".

I guess I should put a WTB add in the buy sell and trade of this board.

Hey Ganowicki,
I still have my complete Salt water tank for sale. You can check my thread in they buy/sell section. I have a 155Gal Bowfront tank and stand. I have 140 Lbs of live rock which i will be posting tomorrow to sell unless you would like a whole system. Ian PM if you want more details. |
Hell I'd even drive it out to you.

I would love your tank but it's too long for where I want to put it. I only have 65 inches to play with, otherise I would have bought it already.
