I forgot how much I loved this movie. And all the sequels. It's like a jaws marathon on Channel 34 (shaw cable, calgary)

Lol! I'm sad I missed it. Although now I want to read the book again. I love Jaws and pretty much all shark movies.

im a total jaws nerd too, the wife dont understand, i recently watched them all or i would have today, i think its the 3rd one where they build a big aquarium or something. couldnt take it, but the rest of them are good enough
planet of the apes and jurassic park are also on my list of movies im too much of a nerd to pass up

I wasn't even alive when it came out LOL but the ride at Universal scared the crap out of me when I was little

Funny today I watched Sharkwater and then moved on to Jaws. Funny how much we have learned about sharks and the fact that they are not murderers as they are portrayed in Jaws.

I liked how the shark swam backwards in the first one...they CAN"T do that in real life...but I guess they didn't plan on many people knowing that.

That was where I got my first dose of info on the USS Indianapolis.

Quint: "This shark, swallow you whole."

Quint: "Front, bow. Back, stern. If ya don't get it right, squirt, I throw your ass out the little round window on the side. "

Really that's my favorite section of the film. When Quint is there. Great actor that man.
