frag racks
looking in to trying to frag some zoos, lps,and sps just wondering what eveyones useing for plugs and what they would prefer to get frags on, plastic plugs small pieces of rock etc.
|
pieces of rock work, frag disks or plugs are good, and I've seen lately frags on certain types of tiles.
|
rubble is always more natural looking

1"X1" Travertine marble tiles from Home depot, $9.99 a sheet for 50 tiles. I boil them first to remove the glue and then attach my frags to them, works great for me.

I hate the frag plugs but that's just my personal opinion. They're great for storing your frags in a rack but a pain in the butt to place on your LR, the "plug" is too thick to wedge anywhere. I like either very thin acryllic rods (t's amazing the places you can wedge them into and just a little putty keeps them there for good) LR rubble or those little formed rubble piles that you can buy (looks like gravel shaped into a domed half circle pile)

For SPS I love suspending my frags from fishing line. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/20...ture/index.php
