Wavebox in half-circle?

I have a 144G half circle tank and I would like to put a Tunze Nano Wavebox in it. If I put it in, it would be on the back wall pointing towards the front of the tank. Reason being is that there is 2 overflows on the back wall that I think interfere with the wave and thats the only place I would put it. So if pointed at the front which is a half circle, would it just hit the front of the glass and follow the curve and create a whirl pool effect? I don't want to waste my money if it won't create a wave due to the curve. Does anyone have any experiences or thoughts to share? For flow at the moment I have 2 Hydor Koralia #4's and my return is a Sequence Reeflo Barracuda.

If you put the 2 powerheads on the extreme one side of the tank pushing water towards the front, the Wavebox should produce some interesting back and forth water motion with the flow from the powerheads trying to go in the opposite direction. IMO.

i once emailed tunze about their wave box nano for my 92 gal 1/4 cylinder. the response that i got was that it would not be very feasible in my tank because of the shape of my tank, the waves would be very irregular and the wave box may not fuction properly. they suggested i go for alternating power heads for my setup.

not sure if it would work on a half circle. might want to borrow one and test it out before you buy one.

+1. I have no experience using one and wasn't sure of the principle of it's operation. I just assumed that you set a wave interval and it did the rest.
