SPS frag tank lighting
 

Thinking about converting my 20g fuge or setting up a stand alone 20 or 33g.

Have a 175w MH, would this be to much?

Nope. Give it about 8-10 (possibly 12) inches space between your bulb and the water surface and you should be fine

I have a 250 on a std 33 and the sps tend to like the middle of the tank.

On the dispaly the MH are on 9 hours, what sort of duration for a frag tank?

Bah I had a 400W over a 30G grew sps in a hurry ....till a power outage and it crashed ...now it's over a 55G growout tank
