TLF Phosphate Reactor Newb

I just got my reactor from J&L today and being a newb to reactors im not sure how to judge if i have the right amount of flow, should all the media be in suspension or just the very top be aggitated? I've added 5 inches of media to the reactor is per the directions.

imagine like a Ca reactor, a little movement but not tumbling around so you turn the media to powder

The very top layer should just be gently rolling. What type of media are you using? If you are using any of the good medias (the brownish red ones) then you have used too much media, and you make shock your corals. Try starting off with about half of that. Go easy on it at first.
