Copper Plumbing...?

Hi All,

I was wondering if any of you have a house that uses copper pipe, and have you replaced it ?

Would our R/O and carbon cover the copper residue in the main lines ?

Thank you,

I am thinking it must since I have copper pipping and I have an RO/DI unit. My tank has Inverts etc. so I assume its ok

I believe the water must remain in contact with the copper for a number of hours (for some reason 8 - 10 come to mind) before it picks anything up from it, if you house is anything like mine 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 wives errr 1 wife the water is always moving through the pipes. My house is also 75 years old so the supply pipes are cast and copper and I have no problems with my tank. I do have a ro/di system.
Hope that helps a little,
Kelly

Marc, RO/DI will remove the copper. I have copper pipes and I'm doing OK
