Skimmer in sump?

I ordered my Lifereef overflow today for my 55, so in a week, it should be here, yay! I have a 15 gallon tall for a sump. I currently have a Deltec 300 HOB. Looking at in sump protein skimmers as I wonder if the Deltec HOB can go in sump? What is an easy "plug in, no fiddling" in sump skimmer that is not huge $$$? Vertex, Lifereef, Euroreef? Or can my Deltec HOB be used no problem?

Thanks all.

Have a look at the Tunze skimmers. Small footprint and do a decent job.

Forgot to say a quiet skimmer too. Lance, do you run the Tunze? Is it fiddly to dial in and is it quiet? The tank will be in the office so don't want really loud.

I've used Corallife (bleh) Euro Reef and Vertex. The last to are great for their price. Plug and play so to say

I enjoy my euro reef, no fiddling and still running hard 3 years in (and I've never cleaned, probably not a good thing, but it still pulls great).

Very quiet. Plug it in and watch it work.

I agree with Lance, the Tunze are great but a PITA for maint and replacement parts.
