just out of curiosity did u QT ur naso?

karazy 01-17-2009 03:59 AM

it is a very nice naso, but just a warning. I have personaly seen 17" long naso tangs, so you might need to move him eventualy

phillybean definitely has a plan worked out for a much larger tank

It's a daily subject, haha

Heh yes, there will be a bigger tank in the future. Hopefully a 240 long, but at the very smallest a 180.

No I didn't QT him. I have a theory on QT. I feel it causes the fish more stress than just going into the display. IMO, if a fish is healthy, fat and eating there is no reason to QT him. IMO, all fish have ich and all tanks have ich. As long as the fish is eating and is otherwise healthy, his immune system will be able to "fight" it off.

I've lost every fish I've ever put in QT/Hospital, but every fish that showed signs of illness that I left in the display, fought it and survived. The key is getting fish from the LFS that are already eating like pigs and fat.

New tank on the way? Sweet... Look forward to that..

Until then, I'm sure the Blonde will be happy where he is...
