removing ricordia from rock?

My Ricordia has split in three, was wondering if there is an easy way to remove them form the base rock? They are attached to a large piece of rock that I cant remove from the tank

Thx in advance

I've read that putting the ricordea in an area of higher flow will cause it to detatch...

look on ReefCentral..there's a thread going on there with the same topic at hand

or alternatively use some good fragging pliers and cut the rock!!

If you don't care if they grow back, because they likely will, why not just cut them off at the base with a sharp blade, single stroke (no sawing) ? I have done this several times. Ended up with those ones plus new babies grew from the tissue left over, which I thought was great.
