Latest poll block

I use http://216.187.96.54/modules/Active_Topics/index.php as home page, with the System Messages and Featured Photo blocks reduced along with Latest Polls.

What's seemed to have started after I noticed an upgrade (profile page changes) is if I refresh the page with the Home icon on the brower (Firefox) the Polls block expands. Not the end of the world but a little annoying (same as the advertising (Notices) block that comes up after I've logged off).

Wondering what I can do?

Interesting. I just set that page to my Firefox homepage and tried it and the same thing happened. The "System Messages" and "Featured Photos" stay reduced but the "Latest Poll" automatically expands. There must be something different about how it's setup.

Anyhow, unfortunately, all I can do is confirm the same behaviour - Titus might be able to check into it further but alas I myself cannot (sorry).

Yes, that's been bugging me for a few weeks. Even the last poll was doing it. This one is really annoying since it's so long... I thought voting might make a difference but still no joy in keeping it minimized.

Hello,

Sorry to hear about that guys but there is nothing I can do at the moment.
It appears that the latest release have introduced some issues while solving the POTM and FTOTM visibility issues for others.

Since the new POTM vote box showed up, and I decided to make a GreaseMonkey script to hide the boxes I keep collapsed.

For users using FireFox, install GreaseMonkey here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

GreaseMonkey is a plugin that allows users to install javascript files, that can alter the appearance and functionality of websites. Once GreaseMonkey is installed, you can install my script to hide the collapsible boxes above the active topics forum:

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/47483

If you want your boxes back, you can simply disable the script or greasemonkey. Look for the monkey face in the bottom right of your browser, click it once and it turns all changes off

no joy.

Using Firefox, installed GreaseMonkey (icon shows) and installed script (get installed successfully beside the monkey) but still have the poll box. Icon is coloured (not greyed out).

Hmm, I updated the code about 10 minutes after I first posted the URL to install it. I had changed which pages it's active for (was broken when showing 2nd page).

I'm using firefox 3.0.9. Not too sure what would cause it to not work for you

Create a new poll. Something like do you like dogs? Yes/No. Way smaller box and it shows the last poll posted, IIRC. :)
Hate that poll box.....hate! :)

If I was given access to fix the vbPortal templates, then I'd fix the bug/typo that's not making it stay collapsed  Gotta get vBulletin up to version 3.8.2 one of these days ... version 4 is coming out soon

If anyone has problems with my greasemonkey script, let me know. Or if you like it, say something

using 3.0.9. Is there something I need to do to enanle the script after installed?

If I right click the monkey icon, select manage user script, the Canreef Active Topics Cleanup is there, checkbox on bottom left is checked enabled.
